Today, we pray for students who have begun their school year

Lord Jesus, today we bring to You all the students in the world. Open their minds Lord, so they grasp whatever they read in their books and study. Bless their studies, teachers and friends. Give them humility and grace – so that they never let earthly knowledge get to their heads. A special prayers for children facing challenges as they begin this school year – fighting parents, broken homes, loneliness, illness, poverty or abuse. Amen

The Cracked Pot

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole that he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
