Body of Christ

In a dense forest lived variety of birds. Once, the crow decided to build a home for her. With much effort she brought all that was necessary to build the house from various places. All her friends in the forest were eagerly waiting to see the completed house. Once it was over the crow invited all her friends to see the house  and gave them all a grand treat. All of them praised her for the beautifully built house. The dove loved the crow’s house and since they were good friends the dove often came and stayed with the crow in the beautiful house. The dove was fond of the house and decided to some how get it from the crow.So she asked the crow to sell the house to her and told that she was ready to buy the house at any cost. The crow said that she would give the house to the dove with one condition. She said the house will belong to the dove except the nail on the wall. The dove accepted to her condition and lived in the house happily. One day the crow came and asked the dove, “My dear friend, can I hang this bag in the nail on the wall?” the dove replied, “of course it’s your nail and you have all right to hang anything you like. Often the crow came and placed something in the bag. One day as usual the crow came and placed a dead rat in the bag which smelled very bad. The dove could not tolerate the behavior of the crow and asked “why are you placing a dead rat in this bag? It makes the entire house  smell bad” the crow replied, this is my nail and I have all right to place whatever I like and continued bringing all dirty things into the house. The dove was fed up with the crows behavior and hence she gave back the beautiful house to the crow and left unhapplily.

My dear friends, many times, forgetting that Jesus dwells in us, we invite various bad habits into our life one by one and at last spoil our body and soul. if we are not holy how can God dwell in us?. The bible says “Food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food, but God will make them both unnecessary. The body is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.” 1 Corinthians 6:13 that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 1 Thessalonians 4:4 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:21.
