Maturity

“Until we all reach unity in the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:13

It takes time for intellectual and spiritual maturity to reach its full potential.

In your efforts to reach maturity, you should have something against which to measure your progress. The apostle Paul teaches that we should measure our progress against nothing less than the character of Christ. Although this is an impossible goal, to aim any lower is to accept a second hand life.

However, never forget Jesus’ love for you and that He identifies with you in your human frailty. God will give you the strength to lead a godly life if you confess your dependence on Him every moment of the day. Draw daily from the strength that He makes available to you.
