There is a vast difference between a person in thirst and a without thirst. A person who is really in thirst will surely ask or wander for water. He will never stop until he gets. The same way when we have the thirst to receive the Holy Spirit we should ask Him fervently until he pours. He will certainly fill us , give us His gifts and will use us for His purpose. The Lord says, “To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.” Revelation 21:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6”. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it. Psalm 81:10. “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17
Why do we need Holy Spirit?
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.Rom 8:26
He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.Rom 8:27
and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.Romans 5:5
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. John 16:13
If we really have the thirst, let us kneel down and ask God to fill us with the Holy Spirit and he will surely fill us.
